Together with fellow teacher Susan Alexopoulos, I will guide you through four days of learning, listening, exploration and hands-on practice.

This is more than learning how to play instruments.

Sound healing is about developing a deeper relationship with sound, intention, presence and the body.

During our time together, you will have the opportunity to experience and work with a range of sound healing instruments, including:

  • Himalayan and Tibetan singing bowls
  • Crystal singing bowls
  • Weighted and unweighted tuning forks
  • Gongs
  • Drums and percussion
  • Your healing voice

You will learn foundational techniques and begin to develop the confidence to create meaningful sound experiences for yourself and others.

A Practical, Experiential Approach

My intention as a teacher is to create a space where you can learn through experience as well as knowledge.

You will have opportunities to listen, receive, practise and experiment with the instruments rather than simply learning theory.

We will explore how different sounds can be used within a healing session, how to work with intention and awareness, and how to bring a range of instruments together into a cohesive sound healing experience.

There will be plenty of time for questions, practice and personal guidance throughout the training.

Who Is This Training For?

You do not need to be an experienced musician or sound healer to participate.

This training is ideal if you:

  • Are completely new to sound healing and want a solid foundation
  • Already work in wellness, yoga, meditation, massage or complementary practices
  • Want to incorporate sound into your existing practice
  • Feel called to facilitate sound baths or one-to-one sound healing sessions
  • Want to deepen your own relationship with sound
  • Are considering a pathway towards professional sound healing practice
  • Simply feel curious and ready to explore the transformative potential of sound

You don’t need to know exactly where your sound healing journey will lead you.

You just need a willingness to listen, explore and learn.

Learn With Guidance and Support

As an accredited Level 1 and Level 2 Sound Healing Practitioner with the Sound Healing Academy, I am passionate about supporting people as they discover their own relationship with sound.

My approach is grounded in practical experience, presence and curiosity. I believe that learning sound healing isn’t about trying to become someone else’s version of a sound healer — it is about developing the confidence to find your own authentic voice and way of working.

Throughout the workshop, I will support you as you learn the foundations, practise the techniques and begin to develop your own confidence with sound.

Your Next Step Into Sound Healing

The Melbourne training offers two pathways.

Workshop Only

Experience the four-day, hands-on training and learn the foundations of sound healing in person.

Combine the in-person workshop with the Sound Healing Academy’s Level 1 online certified course, giving you ongoing access to course materials, teacher support and resources, with the opportunity to complete your Level 1 Foundation Certificate in Integral Sound Healing.

Learn with Christina Davidson + Suzi Alexopoulos
Accredited Level 1 & Level 2 Sound Healing Practitioners
South Healing Academy, Melbourne, Victoria

Why Learn Sound Healing with Christina?

Learn from experience, not just theory

Sound has been an important part of my own journey of healing, practice and connection for many years.

My approach to sound healing is shaped by a rich background in yoga, meditation, mindfulness, sacred movement, energy healing and the subtle energy body, alongside my dedicated study and practice of sound healing.

I believe sound healing is something we learn not only through the mind, but through listening, feeling and experiencing.

As a teacher, my intention is to create a space where you feel supported to explore, make mistakes, ask questions and develop your own relationship with the instruments and with sound.

A holistic and embodied approach

I bring together my experience as a 500+ hour Yoga Alliance accredited yoga and mindfulness meditation teacher, accredited Sound Healing Practitioner, Chakradance facilitator and energy healer with my ongoing study of sound, meditation, the chakra system, shamanic practices and sacred movement.

This means that when we explore sound healing together, we don’t look at the instruments in isolation.

We explore the person, the sound, the intention and the experience as a whole.

You will be encouraged to develop awareness of your own body and listening, to notice how sound affects you, and to gradually build confidence in working with sound in a way that feels authentic to you.

I understand what it feels like to be a student

I am still a student myself.

My own learning has taken me through many different traditions and teachers, including extensive studies in yoga, meditation, Nada Yoga and sound healing in India, as well as ongoing training in sound and energy-based practices.

I know that learning something new can feel exciting, vulnerable and sometimes overwhelming — particularly when you are working with instruments and practices that may be completely unfamiliar.

My role is not to tell you there is only one way to work with sound.

Instead, I want to give you strong foundations, practical tools and the space to discover your own way of working.

From practitioner to teacher

I am an accredited Level 1 and Level 2 Sound Healing Practitioner with The Sound Healing Academy, with qualifications in Foundations of Integral Sound Healing and Professional Multi-Instrument Sound Healing. I have also spent years gaining hands-on experience assisting with sound healing workshops before stepping into my own teaching role.

That experience has taught me that becoming a sound healer isn’t simply about learning which instrument to play or which technique to use.

It is about developing presence, sensitivity, confidence and deep listening.

These are qualities I encourage throughout my teaching.

A safe, nurturing space to learn

Through Wild Grace Yoga + Healing, I have spent years creating nurturing spaces where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves and explore transformational practices. My values are centred around integrity, authenticity, compassion and creating a safe and sacred space for learning and personal transformation.

I bring these same values into my sound healing training.

Whether you are completely new to sound healing or already have experience with sound, my intention is that you leave the workshop feeling inspired, supported and more confident in your ability to work with sound.

Your sound healing journey is uniquely yours

Perhaps you already know that sound is calling you.

Perhaps you are looking for a new modality to complement your existing work.

Or perhaps you simply feel curious about what might happen when you give yourself permission to listen more deeply.

Wherever you are beginning from, you don’t need to arrive with all the answers.

Come curious. Come open. Come ready to listen.

I will share the knowledge, practices and experience I have gathered along my own journey, and together we will explore the beautiful world of sound healing.

I look forward to welcoming you.

We both believe that learning sound healing is about much more than learning how to play instruments.

It is about learning to listen, developing presence, understanding the body and nervous system, and discovering how sound can support connection, wellbeing and transformation.

Why Learn With Both of Us?

One of the beautiful things about learning with two teachers is that you get to experience two different ways of listening, practising and working with sound.

Christina and Suzi bring different life experiences and professional backgrounds to the training, while sharing a commitment to creating a safe, supportive and practical space for students.

Together, we will encourage you to:

  • Develop confidence with a range of sound healing instruments
  • Explore sound through direct experience rather than theory alone
  • Deepen your listening skills and awareness
  • Explore the relationship between sound, body and nervous system
  • Practise working with sound in individual and group settings
  • Discover how different instruments can be combined
  • Develop your own authentic approach to sound healing
  • Ask questions, experiment and learn through practice
  • Connect with a supportive community of fellow students

You don’t have to arrive knowing exactly what kind of sound healer you want to become.

You may be drawn to sound for your own wellbeing.

You may already work with yoga, meditation, massage, energy healing or another complementary modality.

You may dream of facilitating sound baths or one-to-one sessions.

Or perhaps something inside you is simply saying:

“I want to learn more about sound.”

Wherever you are starting from, we invite you to come curious.

Come ready to listen.

Come ready to experience.

And come ready to discover what sound might open up for you.

A Learning Space Where You Can Flourish

Our intention is to create a training environment that is grounded, nurturing, practical and experiential.

There will be space to learn the foundations, ask questions, practise with the instruments, receive guidance and develop your confidence over the four days.

And there will also be space for something equally important:

connection, curiosity, laughter and enjoyment.

Because learning can be transformative without having to be serious all the time.
